The OpenGraph Protocol enables sites to serve metadata that can be used to create detail rich embeds on their own websites. Discord uses these to add embeds to linked sites.

To add a title, description, or embed colour to your upload, you must specify the "og_properties" json object in your request.

There are multiple ways to do this, the easiest is editing your .sxcu file based on this documentation.

Keep in mind that the OpenGraph Protocol applies to webpages. Not hot-linked images. This means that if you specify the "noembed" and/or "discord_hide_url" flags, your embed will not display, regardless of if you have specified your open_graph properties.

If you are using ShareX, you can specify your og_properties under your custom uploader settings as a field in the "multipart/form-data" drop-down.

The official documentation for the file upload endpoint documents the "noembed" void. When specified in your upload, the response url will include a direct link to the uploaded file.

You can specify this in your .sxcu file as such:

Please note that the value of the noembed flag does not matter as it is a void. To prevent your editor spitting out an error, you may specify any value of your liking.

ShareX allows empty fields for data under the multipart/form-data drop-down menu in your custom uploader settings, so you may specify it as follows if you are using ShareX:

If you believe that somebody is sharing or hosting content that is illegal, dangerous or otherwise goes against our Terms of Service, please let us know on our official discord server that you'd like to make a report.

• In the event of illegal content: Include link(s) to the content in question, where you came across the content, and who was distributing it, any additional details about the person responsible may also be included.
• In the event of your report pertaining to a subdomain name: Simply specify the subdomain in your report and it's nature will be evaluated.

If you believe somebody is in immediate danger, please call local authorities first!

A run down of the most common http error codes you may receive is provided below:

• HTTP Error 429: You have tried to upload too many files in a short period of time. Simply wait a bit before attempting to upload files again. More information here.
• HTTP Error 400: This is a general error for a client side error that may have been caused due to an error on the user's part, refer to the aforementioned documentation to cross reference your error further and determine it's exact causal factor.
• HTTP Error 5**: This is a catch all error code range for server side errors. sxcu.net may be under maintenance or be down at the bottom.

A Self-XSS scam tricks you into compromising your account by claiming to provide a way to log into someone else's sxcu.net account, or some other kind of reward, after pasting a special code or link into your web browser. Never click a links that go to a website you don't know and trust. Learn how to recognize scams to protect your account from being compromised.

To regain access to your subdomain, you can create a suport ticket here and include your subdomain in addition to the following information depending on your situation:

If you lost your .sxcu file but still have access to your token: Include your token in your ticket as proof of subdomain ownership.

If you have neither your .sxcu file, nor a backup of your token: You may include your IP address in your ticket, this will be compared against uploads made to the subdomain in question. Please note, if you have a dynamic IP address that has changed since your last upload, you will have to find a way to provide a previous IP address we can use to verify your ownership status.
